My experience with the “Right Stuff” was amazing.  I had an absolute blast being an contestant on the show.

It was nice to compete against some great shooters from around the nation.  The cast was so fun to interact with. I made friends with everyone immediately and most of those relationships continue today. I am an outdoors guy so the camping on set was really cool and I was in my element.  It’s not everyday that you get to do the things that we got to do on this show.  We shot almost every hand held weapon platform currently available.

I would totally do it again and would not hesitate to re-apply.  Hopefully the show will do a “All-Star” casting and hopefully get an invite back. If you’re a shooter and outdoors man don’t wait to apply for this casting call.

I can honestly say that Melissa and I did not fully know what to expect from the show. We thought we knew what we were in store from watching episodes of the sister shows, Ammo & Attitude and The Right Stuff but every day was another surprise!

We learned a lot about what we were good at and what we needed to work on. We also learned a lot about us. It was a very frustrating experience sometimes but very rewarding at the same time. Doing it together really made us appreciate each other more I think. We supported each other fully and propped each other up when we needed it.

The challenges and competition was fantastic! There wasn’t your typical reality TV drama between the contestants….just the opposite in fact. We quickly became friends, joking around with each other daily and bonding after each day. Everyone was very supportive and we all left camp close friends!

Shot To The Heart offers an interesting twist on outdoor sports and shooting competition. You have to practice a totally different strategy then you would if you were competing by yourself. The emotion can be at a higher level when you are participating with your spouse. Melissa and I cheered each other when individually we did well and we supported each other lovingly when we did poorly. All in all, I would highly recommend Shot To The Heart to every couple out there! It will test you individually and test your teamwork under pressure and stressful situations!

Being a contestant on The Right Stuff has been a blast. I became friends with a handful of like-minded, fun, talented guys. We shared a unique experience and set of challenges that we’ll never forget. Some of my favorite moments were waking up every morning wondering what our day had in store, and then sitting around the campfire at the end of the day reflecting on the events of the day with the guys. I would recommend applying for the show if you’re looking for a fun challenge and a unique experience!

When we showed up to be contestants on Shot to the Heart we didn’t know what to expect or what we had gotten ourselves in to. Our goal was to get past the first challenge and not totally embarrass each other or our family and friends. What we never expected was to have gained an experience that we will never forget or ever stop telling our kids about. The lifelong, new friendships we have gained are a prize in itself that we will cherish beyond anything that could have a price tag. We were so blessed to have this opportunity and it is one we will forever remember and share with those we love and anyone willing to listen. ?

Being a contestant on The Right Stuff for season 4 was a grandeur experience. I immensely enjoyed the time spent on set, and my favorite part had to be the evenings under the Texas stars. Even though, I may not have spent as much time on set as the other contestants; I definitely enjoyed the adventure. The contestants were likeminded and pleasant to be around; outside of competing. I would like to thank all the sponsors who treated the other contestants and myself to a multitude of goods. My only regret is not being able to catch the alligator, who lived in the pond; on set. I enjoyed my time, and I hope the audience enjoys Season 4 of The Right Stuff.

Being a participant on Ammo & Attitude was a memorable experience. This was my first time shooting any type of 3 Gun so I was unaware of what to expect. When we arrived on set, I was excited to find out that we were camping during our stay. I love being outdoors and after all, you can never predict what nature is going to do when you decide to invade its space. Usually, it provides you with some stories to take home, as did this experience. The ladies, I had the honor to compete with, were awesome. They guided me through the challenges implementing their own personal experiences, which was helpful and appreciated. By the end of the show we built a pretty good bond with one another. It never felt like a competition, just a group of friends hanging out and burning some powder. There’s always room for improvement and its experiences like Ammo & Attitude that help you see what you need to focus more on. I was aware of some of my weaknesses going into the show but things are a little different when you’re being filmed as your shooting. I had a lot of fun and met some pretty cool people on set. I can’t wait to see these ladies on the range in future events.

I was a contestant on season 4 of Right Stuff of the Shipman Agency. Before I arrived on set all I could think of was winning. As the week progressed and I got to know the other contestants better and experienced the unique shooting challenges I focused less on winning and more on enjoying being with the guys and the process. We were all out to win, so once I looked past that it became easier to enjoy each other and all we were privileged to experience together. Together we did things we’ll probably never do again in our shooting careers; win or lose on the show, you can’t “lose” the experience. As I lift the set after filming all I could think of was how privileged I felt to be a part of a production that showcased firearms, shooting and competitive shooting in a positive light. I’ll always be thankful for any opportunity to grow the shooting sports

I couldn’t have asked for a better group of women to go through this experience with. We all brought something to table in support of each other on and off camera. I have no doubt we will be friends for life and carry with us an experience we will never forget. Thank you Miss Shipman, and to all of our fabulous sponsors!

I cannot begin to describe the experience. My paradigm about what I was capable of and what I would be able to accomplish while working with women I’d never met before, in situations that sometimes seemed like combat, was shattered. It was hard, it hurt, and brought tears to my eyes. But by the end of it, the pieces came back together as an adventure that I’d do again in a heartbeat. Thank you Ms. Stephanie Shipman of The Shipman Agency for the amazing adventure.

For starters, Ms. Shipman was top notch and without their professional demeanor the show would not have been what it was. There were some exciting and once in a life time challenges that were set before all the Contestants. My favorite part about the show was The Right Stuff award/bullet, each time it was given it was earned, and all the Contestants wouldn’t argue it one bit. The behind the scenes was some of the most fun stuff, hanging out with the other Contestants, getting to know them, and seeing us come together as a team when we were back at camp. Tim certainly pulled his weight around camp by cooking all of our meals, Will provided good entertainment, Rowdy good planning and organizing, Patches kept the fire going, and Dylan told us lots of stories. Some of the locations we got to visit were awesome and I wish I could go back. All in all, I had a blast. It truly was a once in the lifetime experience and I think about it nearly every day.

I had a blast on season 7 of Ammo & Attitude! It’s truly a unique experience and Ms. Shipman is a fantastic lady to work with. It’s exciting to see all the hardwork that goes on behind the scenes that makes the show a success. By far the best parts of the experience were the camaraderie and new friendships, a bond only we will share from being on the show. If you like a good shooting challenge and meeting new people, don’t hesitate to apply for next season.

My amazing experience on the show started the moment I got the call from Ms. Shipman saying I was on the show. I was so excited for the unexpected. And the unexpected lived up to its name. As a few of the challenges were a once in a life time experience. I wish I had more time to take it all in, but what I have is some great memories and some really good friendships made along the way. Working with the other contestants was an experience in itself. We had so many laughs, making up our own challenges at camp, telling stories and hanging around the camp fire all makes for some really good friends. I throughly enjoyed the time I spent being on the show. Anyone who is thinking about trying out, you absolutely need too. The experiences this show will bring you are indescribable.
